The following projects or programs are currently part of our 2022-2023 School Year Fundraising efforts. The goal for the upcoming school year is $12,000. Members of the PTA are not paid. All funds collected go directly to the school. For more information or questions, contact us through the Contact Us section below. The PTA is a member of the Missouri Congress of PTAs. Donations are tax-deductible within the limits of the IRS code.
Every year it happens: Unplanned expenses, a need for new furniture, teacher requests, or new projects we did not anticipate. These funds are used as allocated by the board for expenses not in the school's budget. To donate to this fund, click here
Every child and every classroom should have the supplies they need despite the ability to purchase items. We also want teachers to focus on teaching and not on how to find supplies that aid in creative learning opportunities. Teachers have requested supplies, new bookcases, and learning center tables, as well as the supplies needed for each child. To donate to this fund, click here.
The Yearbook Club is new this year and is comprised of 5th-grade students, faculty, and parent advisors. The Yearbook Club needs digital cameras, photo editing software, a laptop and also helps provide yearbooks for the teachers and staff. Click here to donate to the Yearbook Club fund.
The House Party fund provides House Shirts for all incoming Kindergarten students, Leadership Jackets, house events and supplies, and additional shirts for transfer or students coming in mid-year. Click here to donate to the House Party fund.
The PTA provides funds for the 5th-grade year-end field trip and promotion ceremony. We also provide yearbooks to all outgoing 5th-grade students at no charge. Click here to donate to this fund.
The PTA provides recognition for every staff member and teacher for their work with our children. Click here to donate to this fund.
The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is a partnership between parents and educators who strive to enhance student learning and enrich the lives of the students within the school. It is also a forum for parents to obtain knowledge and voice their opinions about what is happening in their school.
PTA funds belong to the PTA (not the school) and PTA elected members decide how funds are spent. We work closely with the faculty and staff to ensure we fund much-needed items, supplies, and furniture not in the schools' budget or allowed for the school to purchase out of district allocated funds.
The simple answer is: Our Cowden community! The PTA is run by a peer-elected Executive Board that coordinates activities and allocates how funds are spent.
Paid members vote in general meetings. We have ample ways for everyone to discuss issues with the board members and to collaborate on big decisions. Everyone is encouraged to participate.
We want to hear from you.
